Welcome to UP2YOUTH: Youth - actor of social change

  • Results

UP2YOUTH has brought about a wealth of findings which resulted in a number of outcomes and products.

Here is a short list of the results for easy access:

  • Research Objectives
Adressing youth as actor of social change on the one hand implies to analyse under what conditions young people can be included in and exert full citizenship status. On the other hand, it means discarding a perspective according to which young people are merely affected by social change in a passive way but tries to identify to what extent they play an active role in these processes by reinforcing or modifying structures through individual coping strategies and life styles. Therefore, secondary and comparative analysis is carried out with regard to four main dimensions
across the three sub-themes. See matrix of research questions for details...
  • Organisation and Partners
Here you will find a list of all partners involved in UP2YOUTH. For a quick overview of the organisational structure you can look at the organisation diagram.
  • Work Programme

The project UP2YOUTH is structured by three thematic working groups. The working groups analyse existing research in a comparative perspective in order to identify and ideally to close research gaps with regard to themes which on European level are clearly under-researched. In the thematic workshops they exchange with practicitoners, policy makers and other researchers.

  • Glossary of key concepts

The UP2YOUTH-Glossary clarifies core concepts of the project, their origin, their use and the way they relate to one another. It has to be regarded as work-in-progress, and reflects the state of discussion in the project.

Project supported by funding under the European Union's Sixth Research Framework Programme - Coordinated by IRIS e.V.
