Welcome to UP2YOUTH: Youth - actor of social change

National School for Public Health, Rennes Print

The National School for Public Health is coordinating the working group concerned with civic participation of young people.

The Laboratory of Analysis of Health and Social Policies is part of the National School of Public Health. Its principal aim is to study the emergence, the agenda setting, implementation and evaluation of public policies which are developed in the health and social sectors. Doing so, the Laboratory is analysing and comparing policies at European, national and local levels.

The Laboratory is involved in researches concerning young people at local and European levels, in particular, their ways of participating to local policies and of entering the labour market. For instance, the “Yoyo-youth policy and participation” research funded by 5th framework programme (Contract no: HPSE-CT2001-00072) -2001-2004 ; the “Integration through Training” research, placed under the responsibility of Andy Furlong (Glasgow), founded by the Leonardo programme – 1999-2002. We also had the scientific responsibility for the research project: “Local styles of public action and users’ participation: young people and elderly people in Rennes, Metz and Toulouse”, a research founded by the Research interministerial Mission (Mire) – 2000-2003.
