Welcome to the UP2YOUTH Internet Portal |

UP2YOUTH is an EU-funded research project concerned with the agency of young people in the context of social change. While their transitions to adulthood are structured by risk and uncertainty young men and women develop coping strategies which in turn affect social structures. However, it depends on the scope of action that state policies provide them whether these strategies contribute both to social integration and for subjectively meaningful biographical perspectives. The UP2YOUTH Internet Portal not only serves to document the structure, progress and results of the project, but also to provide the European youth research community a platform for information and networking. Results of the Lisbon workshop |
|
The second UP2YOUTH thematic workshop took place in Lisbon from 1-3 November 2007. Researchers from all over Europe working on one of the three topics young parenthood, ethnic minority youth or participation were invited to present and discuss their findings. The aim was to deepen the analysis with regard to complementary approaches and to broaden it with regard to regions and countries not involved in the UP2YOUTH consortium.
